"I live in the Pays Voironnais and I appreciate the many (and varied) trail routes offered in the area. My favorite is the Valdaine area with the Baracuchet route no. 22. A quiet area, less well-known but ideal for trail running with hilly terrain and a beautiful alternation of passages in the undergrowth and viewpoints over the Chartreuse and passable all year round.
I particularly like the spots of Lake St Sixte and the Chartreux pond for their sometimes mystical atmosphere, but also those of the Grands Bois, from the Grand Vivier to the Col du Bret up to below Mount Baracuchet.
