Revenons-à-nos-Moutons guest house is the result of a project of welcome and authenticity, a return to calm in the countryside.
The outdoor area consists of a large plot of land with more than 60 varieties of flowers, an orchard with 17 varieties of fruit and a wood allowing you to discover different tree species, the different bird songs and passing wildlife: roe deer, wild boars, wild piglets, foxes, badgers, martens, sparrowhawks, kestrels, buzzards, etc. A ping-pong table, a pétanque game and badminton rackets are also available.
In the recently renovated 19th-century rammed earth farmhouse, two pleasant, tastefully furnished guest rooms are located on the first floor, each with a shared bathroom and toilet. Beautiful hardwood floors and plenty of natural light give the rooms a welcoming atmosphere.
Sylvie, the eco-friendly owner, a vegetarian with a vegan streak, lives a virtually zero-waste lifestyle and enjoys peace and quiet and reading. She has many years of experience in tourism (including 10 years working on her own in Rome, with recommendations in guidebooks such as Routard, Michelin, GeoGuide, and Lonely Planet) and is very familiar with the Pre-Alps. She can answer your questions and will be happy to recommend sites and activities to see. Upon arrival, she will provide you with a guide to the best places to visit.
Depending on the season – and if you wish – you can learn for free how to prune a fruit tree or a vine, pick fruit, easily make a bird feeder at zero cost, spend a few hours as an apprentice shepherd, and return home with videos of the wildlife that passed through the woods during your stay.
In the village you will find all the local shops with a small organic solidarity market on Wednesday mornings, and the village market on Saturday mornings.
In conclusion, Revenons-à-nos-Moutons is, above all, a return to a more virtuous lifestyle with shared accommodation with sheep and a great deal of attention to their well-being. You will meet Particule, Romuald and Lulu, the three adorable sheep on the estate.
