La Maison d'Arlette

La Maison d'Arlette is a charming guesthouse located in the heart of the village of Saint-Blaise-du-Buis, a village of 900 inhabitants, on a quiet, one-way street with little traffic, yet close to all amenities. Housed in a renovated farmhouse, it retains the charm of its exposed stone facade and the spirit of the house, as a tribute to Arlette, its former owner. The five cozy bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom and toilet, offer comfort and tranquility in a warm and inviting setting.

Run by Ludovic, a state-certified nurse who left his job in Normandy to fulfill his long-held dream of opening a bed and breakfast, the house welcomes tourists, business travelers, motorcyclists, cyclists, and hikers in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The spacious living room is ideal for breakfast, business meetings, or social gatherings, and can accommodate up to 15 people. Guests enjoy a homemade breakfast, free access to the fully equipped kitchen, and, during the summer months, the swimming pool. The secure garden is pet-friendly, and parking is available under the barn for cars, motorcycles, and bicycles.

The house is close to sports facilities: tennis courts, pétanque courts, and basketball courts. It is also an ideal starting point for beautiful hikes around the village. From the house, there is a splendid view of the three mountain ranges – Chartreuse, Belledonne, and Vercors – as well as the Isère and Vouise valleys.

Arlette's House is an ideal starting point for exploring Lake Paladru and enjoying the exceptional landscapes of the Isère region. Easily accessible from the motorway, Reaumont train station, and the Lyon–Grenoble line, it is convenient for both leisure and business trips. Visitors can also explore the history of the Chartreuse monastery and its museum, visit the Grande Chartreuse monastery itself, and sample local specialties such as Bonnat chocolates and biscuits from the Louvat and Carpentier bakeries.
