A miniature BMX track for experienced riders and a track designed to help beginners learn balance and acceleration downhill over bumps. A series of bumps, banked turns, and short straightaways.
In a pump track, you never pedal! You use the terrain's movements to pump, thanks to the action of your arms and legs (flexion/extension) as well as shifts in your center of gravity related to weight distribution on the bike (moving back behind the saddle and pulling with your arms to bring your body forward). You're doing push-ups, but with added fun, which motivates you to push yourself and finish your lap without having to pedal.
