The Ancien Crossey (Crossey 1) is a historic site listed in the PDESI of the Isère Department. Access was developed by the latter. It is a sub-sector of the more recent Gorges de Crossey climbing site.

From the Les Grollets public transport stop, continue a few meters along the main road to reach the Impasse des Catins on your right, which becomes a path. At the intersection, take the path on the left which joins a track leading to the first parking area located at the foot of the cliff.
Sport climbing in natural settings requires a thorough understanding of safety rules. It is the responsibility of every climber to assess their ability to climb and to adhere to safety regulations. Climbers must be able to evaluate the condition of the rock and existing equipment. Training in the use of climbing equipment and safety techniques is essential. Wearing a helmet is recommended. Always use marked access routes or those indicated in guidebooks. Take your trash with you.

By public transport: From Grenoble:
Bus Cars Region T40 Grenoble – Saint Pierre de Chartreuse: Grenoble Bus Station -> Saint Joseph de Rivière – Les Grollets (45 min)
By car: From Voiron, take the D520 towards Saint Laurent du Pont. 1km after Saint Etienne de Crossey, you enter the gorge. Park on the roadside in one of the car parks. The “Crossey 1” sector car park is officially signposted “Climbing car park”.
Approach walk: 5 to 12 min.
