In 2000, the Communauté du Pays Voironnais became the Communauté d'Agglomération du Pays Voironnais and acquired full economic powers devolved to local authorities. Le Tourism department and Tourist Office therefore do an integral part of the services of the Agglomeration Community from the Voiron region.
To develop the offering and participate in the promotion of the region, the Tourism Department of the Voironnais region ensures 4 major missions :
- Qualify, develop the supply and management of tourist spaces,
- Promote the tourist area,
- To welcome and inform customers,
- Harvest the tourist tax.
