About Us

Discover how the Carthusians transformed the landscapes around their monastery of the Holy Forest. From the Middle Ages onwards, the territory, and in particular the rivers, were extensively transformed and developed.

The Carthusians were masters in this field, as evidenced by the land surrounding their "Courrerie" at Le Pin. These developments would later facilitate the establishment of large factories.
