About Us

Developed between the Morge river and its hillsides, Paviot established itself as a small industrial town. Discover the history of this district, born of industry and the heart of Voiron's working-class memory.

At the end of the Ancien Régime, Paviot consisted of nothing more than a mill with medieval origins and a poor road crossing the Morge. A century later, it had become a small town, with a church, a school, shops, and thousands of workers employed in its vast factories.
