About Us

A look back at the life of Lucie Baud, one of the first French women trade unionists of the early 20th century. She led strikes in the weaving mills of Vizille and Voiron. Film screening presented by the Ad libitum Film Workshop.

This local heroine dedicated her life to the fight against "the endless servitude of women." A film by Gérard Mordillat, starring Virginie Ledoyen, Philippe Torreton, and François Cluzet. A historical fiction film adapted from the essay by Michelle Perrot.

In partnership with the municipality of Saint-Bueil, the Atelier Ad libitum and the Pays d'art et d'histoire du Pays Voironnais, come and decipher the metamorphosis of a village during the time of the great textile industry.
