The Moirans Symphony Orchestra and "Ensemble Vocal Harmoniques" perform Johann Sebastian Bach's Magnificat BWV 243. With Bach himself as master of ceremonies, this is an event not to be missed!

The church in Moirans will resonate with an exceptional concert. The Magnificat BWV 243 by Johann Sebastian Bach, an absolute masterpiece of the repertoire, will be performed there through the collaboration of two Moirans entities: the Municipal School of Music and the Ensemble Vocal Harmoniques.
This choir, with its 40 singers under the direction of Christophe Jean-Baptiste, is one of the best in the region. The soloists who will lend their voices to this luminous and festive work are all members of the choir.

For the Moirans String Orchestra, conducted by Michel Viguier, this program follows on from the success of the Beethoven 7th Symphony performed last spring. The objective remains the same: to allow students to discover and perform the great works of the musical heritage.

In the first part, the public will be able to hear two short pieces performed by the youngest students, as well as a version for strings of the Passacaglia and Fugue in C minor BWV 582, another masterful work by Bach.
This evening promises to be a highlight of Moirans' cultural life, as it will be the first musical exchange between the Music School and the Harmoniques vocal ensemble.
