Concert : Cake Empire
Bibliothèque de Voreppe – Stravinski 17 rue Igor Stravinski 38340 Voreppe
About
Cake Empire is a group of five experienced musicians, created in 2024 in the Voiron region, which offers groovy and original English-language indie rock covers.
The project draws its identity from the world of the American band Cake and the festive energy of the Australian group The Cat Empire, offering groovy, original, and decidedly celebratory English-language indie rock covers. Composed of two women and three men, Cake Empire is fronted by Julia, originally from Washington, D.C., whose authentic voice lends real credibility to the English-language tracks. Incisive guitars, a solid bass, and driving drums intertwine with an emblematic trumpet that gives the band its festive and unique character, reminiscent of its influences. On stage, Cake Empire stands out for its infectious energy, the strong rapport between the musicians, and a repertoire designed to get the audience moving. Each concert becomes a convivial and danceable event, where indie rock is adorned with brassy nuances to create a warm and unifying atmosphere.
