The Café des Eaux Sauvages was delighted to host the association "La Résistance des Bois" for a discussion following a screening of Vincent Verzat's film "Le vivant qui se défend" (The Living Who Defends Itself) last April. The café is thrilled and eager to organize this free concert to benefit this dedicated and vital association. You can learn more about their work in this teaser by Jim Leblais.
"The Resistance of the Woods is an association aiming to defend the worlds of the forest (know-how, trades, symbolism, and living environments) against the increasingly rampant "industrial machine," which is always presented as the only viable and reasonable path. (Which is absurd, but shhh.) The Resistance of the Woods is an attempt at another way: that of a balance between protection and production, between the know-how of the past and the necessities of the present. It is about opening up other ways of imagining the forest and proving that something else is possible."
Concert given to benefit the association "La Résistance des Bois".
