The 61st edition of the International Chamber Music Festival takes place in this XNUMXth-century Romanesque church with exceptional acoustics. Concerts by some of the world's finest artists take place in an exceptional setting, listed as a historic monument.

Founded in September 2019, the Arete Quartet passed the Kumho Art Hall Young Chamber Concert audition that same year and made its debut in September 2020 at Yonsei University's Kumho Art Hall.
After studying with Jaeyoung Kim, first violin of the Novus Quartet, the young quartet performed in various venues in Korea before moving to Munich, Germany, to study with Christoph Poppen at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater.

During its young career as a quartet, the Arete Quartet has already won several important awards:

First Prize at the Prague Spring International Music Competition in 2021.
First prize at the Salzburg International Mozart Competition in 2023.
First prize at the Lyon International Chamber Music Competition in 2024.
In 2025, the Arete quartet was selected for the Bordeaux International Quartet Competition.
