About Us

André Bouisson, a retired officer and passionate about military history, recounts the little-known and forgotten story of the 52 Senegalese Tirailleurs of the Vercors during the Second World War.

Originally from Ivory Coast, Senegal, and Guinea, they belonged to the colonial troops, and after June 1940, they were interned until June 1944, when resistance fighters from the Vercors region came to liberate them. They lived through the tragic events of the Battle of Vercors and the fighting for liberation until the end of the war.
