About Us
At a time when questions are being asked in France about the future of many places of worship, the Department has set out to identify and document the buildings and works of religious art created in the 20th century in Isère.
This inventory work was carried out in partnership with the Diocesan Association of Grenoble, owner of the majority of churches built after 1905. The corpus brings together nearly one hundred sites built in the 20th century and as many earlier churches decorated, refurnished or redesigned during this period.
Opening
From May 11 to 25, 2026, during library opening hours: Monday from 14 p.m. to 18 p.m., Tuesday from 15 p.m. to 19 p.m., Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 18 p.m., Friday from 13 p.m. to 19 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 14 p.m. to 18 p.m.
