Exposition : Paysages à +2°C
Bibliothèque de Chirens 44 avenue du 19 mars 1962 38850 Chirens
About
Exhibition of six original paintings created by the artist Juliette Villard, representing the evolution of the emblematic landscapes of Voironnais and Chartreuse subjected to climate change.
Conceived by Voiron-based artist and graphic designer Juliette Villard, this exhibition of six futuristic works oscillates between realism and dreamlike imagery, drawing on paintings based on landscape photographs. Her approach is to depict climate change in a suggestive, almost poetic way, raising awareness while allowing viewers to visualize the problems and imagine potential solutions.
Today, climate change is present everywhere in our daily lives: record temperatures, lack of snow, more violent storms, fires… However, it is not always easy to measure the transformations that will take place on our landscapes in the coming years. In order to raise public awareness of the issues of climate change, the Pays Voironnais and the Chartreuse Regional Natural Park have joined forces to create the exhibition “Landscapes at +2°C”.
