The Talents Hauts et Chapeau Bas festival in Voiron showcases women's talents for the 9th consecutive year. The program includes exhibitions, conferences, films, readings, and a show not to be missed.
Eighty-one years ago, on April 29 and May 13, 1945, women voted for the first time in municipal elections. Defying all the pessimistic predictions of the time, they turned out in droves. Since then, they have emerged from the shadows. After fighting for their rights in the 81th century, they are now denouncing the violence they endure, through #MeToo and the Pelicot case, for example. It is to pay tribute to them that the "Alter&gales" association is organizing the "Talents hauts et chapeau bas" festival.
Through a historical and artistic lens, the association organizes a series of conferences, exhibitions, films, and public readings. The goal? To bring these women, their roles, and their struggles into the spotlight.
