Theo Grossi and Bernard Commandeur duo. A varied program featuring the great works of the mandolin repertoire.

Theo Grossi, mandolinist from the Eybens-Grenoble circle, and Bernard Commandeur, musical director of the Eybens-Grenoble mandolin circle and pianist, perform a varied program featuring the great works of the mandolin repertoire.

The duo Théo Rossi and Bernard Commandeur do us the honor of performing in the chapel of the minor seminary with a varied and rich program.
Théo Grossi and Bernard Commandeur met several years ago in the Grenoble region during various rehearsals and concerts, united by a shared passion: the mandolin!
In 2020, they decided to initiate an artistic and musical collaboration that would prove fruitful. Together, they explore an extremely varied repertoire, drawing on several centuries of original music written for the mandolin throughout the ages, from the Baroque period to today's music. From Vivaldi and Scarlatti, through illustrious figures such as Beethoven and Hummel, and sometimes others less known but equally remarkable such as Calace and Munier, to recent composers such as Bolling or Galliano, they perform together the great works of the original repertoire for mandolin and keyboard. They also make a point of presenting the mandolin in a modern vision through current works and contemporary creations. Théo and Bernard thus combine tradition and modernity, and offer the public a truly original journey through styles, eras and musical influences, all to the (re)discovery of the mandolin, this little-known, but oh so fascinating instrument of Italian origin. They have already performed in concert on numerous occasions and for several years throughout the Rhône-Alpes region (in Valence, Annecy, Vizille, Sassenage, etc.), and the audience has each time come away fulfilled and enchanted by these musical moments.
