Recognized as an Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée in 1938, walnuts have completely transformed the lower Isère valley. The omnipresence of walnut trees is the culmination of a long history as evidenced by heritage, toponymy and landscapes.
This land formed by the old valley of the Isère and its dead meanders was reclaimed from the river and the marshes.
Course sensitive to weather conditions, comfortable shoes recommended.
