Show: Get Intoxicated

As part of the Nuits hors la Grange festival, a show that pays homage to books and reading by combining several disciplines: acrobatics, dance, juggling, and a certain burlesque theatricality. By the Cie du Contrevent.

The book envied, shared, stolen.
The book is body to body, heart to heart, in dance as in wrestling.
The book to awaken old demons, to wake a dead man or a sleeping prince.
A book to marvel at.

Playing with words, juggling with books. Written languages, circus languages ​​in mirror and echo.

Are these two readers? Are they characters in a book?
Are they not also simply words? Acrobatic words, words that dance, that separate, come together, collide, words that pirouette between the foundation and the unstable balance where the book is not a simple accessory but a third character.

The reader reads, the eyes read,
The brain, the heart, the body read,
Sometimes relaxed, sometimes curled up,
Sometimes agitated, sometimes tied up, concentrated, thoughtful or distracted.
