In this collection of paintings and songs, the author immerses us with his incomparable humor in a bubbling bath of characters progressing towards the end of their humanity.
For it is indeed the exit door from life that Levin shows: sometimes some regret being born (what's the point of living a miserable existence?), others cling to this laborious undertaking like a life raft. But Levin's strength, beyond a total mastery of theatrical situations, lies in the love, sometimes paternal, sometimes disapproving all the same, that he maintains for his characters.
