Our Lady of Vouise

Perched atop the hill, the Notre-Dame de Vouise statue overlooks the town and offers a breathtaking 360° panorama! You can reach it on foot; the climb isn't long but it is rather steep! Tip: along the way, take advantage of the lovely view of the town and the Vercors mountains directly opposite from the Regardou viewpoint!

The Mainssieux Museum

Here in Voiron, you can discover masterpieces! Gustave Courbet, Camille Corot, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Jules Flandrin or Jacqueline Marval… These great names in painting are exhibited at the Musée Mainssieux, a Musée de France!
Originally from Voiron, Lucien Mainssieux (1885-1958) was a prominent figure in Parisian artistic circles in the early 1900s. He was a painter, musician, critic, and avid art collector. All the paintings in the museum that bears his name are thanks to him, following the bequest of his studio collection and personal holdings to his hometown.

Voiron is served by the A48 motorway which connects Grenoble to Lyon. Take exit no. 10 “Les Abrets – Voiron Champfeuillet”.

  • By train

Voiron has an SNCF train station and numerous TER regional trains serve the town.

  • By public transport

Buses from M Réseaux (of the Grenoble metro) and regional buses allow you to reach Voiron.
