1st DAY – Pedal and cultivate your historical curiosity!
Start your day by picking up your electric bike for the day and prepare your picnic using ingredients from the local shops!
Departure from Charavines to start the circuit “the heights of Lake Paladru” (24,3km and 2h30); after following the greenway, a first stop at MLP (The Archaeological Museum of Lake Paladru) will spark your teens' curiosity about the way of life of our ancestors! Then a second stop is a must at the Tithe Barn for a picnic break in the orchard and a visit to the seasonal exhibition (from May to the end of September)!
Then finish your circuit quietly which brings you back to Charavines where you can return your bikes to go and settle in at the gîte to enjoy the evening!
Your night at Gîte Lac Casa 60′ in Bilieu
At Gîte Lac Casa 60′, You will be welcomed into a warm and retro atmosphere in a carefully decorated cottage equipped with of a covered terrace friendly with a clear view of the lake.
Day 2 – Paddle and browse the lake!
Morning session Discovering rowing!
The only prerequisite for getting started in this accessible and 100% fun sport: knowing how to swim 25m!
And here we go for a 2-hour session where you will have to find balance, tune your movements to move your boat forward: ideal for developing family listening skills ;-). Laughter guaranteed!
There's nothing like a lunch break on a terrace overlooking the lake to debrief on this experience. Next stop: Charavines. Dolphin Beach Restaurant 😉
In the afternoon, we continue to handle the oars but in a kayak this time!
Leave for 2 hours on one of the kayaking water trails. Sail to the remarkable sites located on your water-repellent map and discover a historical anecdote or a hidden site allowing you to observe the endemic fauna and flora...
Choose from 3 nautical trails:
- a “Heritage” trail targeting the historical sites of the lake: notably the famous medieval site of Colletière and its legends that you will discover.
- two “ecological” trails allowing you to visit hidden sites to observe endemic fauna and flora.
