Chartreuse
A mysterious manuscript containing the recipe for an elixir of long life was given to the Carthusian monks in 1605 by Marshal d'Estrées, and more than 400 years later, the tradition continues. No fewer than 130 plants, flowers, barks, roots, and spices compose this subtle liqueur, to be enjoyed, in moderation of course, neat as a digestif, in cocktails, or even in cooking! A remedy for thirst
ANTESITE
A true Proustian madeleine for many families. Antesite It all began with the determination of one man, Noël Perrot-Berton, a pharmacist in Voiron, to combat alcoholism among railway workers on construction sites during periods of intense heat. Feeling a sense of public health mission, the pharmacist created the famous licorice concentrate in 1898. A natural and economical way to flavor water, with a healthy and particularly thirst-quenching recipe. He chose to name it Antésite, from the Latin “Ante Sitis,” meaning “against thirst.”
