After an initial career in microelectronics, Isabelle Hibon chose
to retrain in agriculture in accordance with his ecological values.

She gained practical experience through several internships and then, about ten years ago, took over the farm with Alain, her partner. Today, Damien has joined them, and the three of them run the farm "Les Jardins du Coteau" in Saint-Cassien, primarily growing vegetables, supplemented by raising laying hens with two chicken coops.

Between preparing the soil, sowing, maintaining the crops and harvesting, but also collecting eggs and organizing the work with the farm team, the days are very full!
Throughout the seasons, they cultivate crisp salads, sun-ripened tomatoes, courgettes, carrots, leeks, squash… all organically!

A farm certified as organic agriculture

For them, practicing organic farming is a way to to respect the environment with natural cultivation methods without pesticides or chemicalsSoil management in organic farming promotes biodiversity and fertility in the long term. Organic farming also allows for to produce healthy food, without chemical residues, to meet a growing demand for local and responsible consumption.

When I had my children, I asked myself: what future do I want to offer them? And that was the trigger, the ecological dimension above all.

Isabelle Hibon, from the gardens of the Coteau
