Green snowshoe trail: Chalais loop

This initiation loop, very pleasant just after a snowfall, offers a beautiful winter scenery under snow-covered firs and spruces. Unmarked route.

Its advantage is that it offers a pleasant picnic spot under shelter at the Roize hut or on the 2 wooden tables. From the cabin, enjoy the view of the bottom of Roize and its rocky abysses.
But be careful not to go towards Charminelle: the passage is dangerous and totally inadvisable in winter.
From the hut, the return to the monastery is made by a pleasant descent following the Corepha N ° 6 markings to the statue of Père Lacordaire.

Departure from car park 1 or 2 in Chalais. Take the road that passes behind the Monastery to reach the hiker parking lot. Put on snowshoes in the hiker's parking lot depending on the snow conditions.
