In the heart of the hills sheltering Lake Paladru, cross the landscapes transformed by the Carthusian monks. It was there that they founded the Charterhouse of the Sylve Bénite in 1116. Throughout the hike, various sites bear witness to their presence.
The ideal hike for anyone wishing to enjoy a bucolic stroll combining the beauty of the local heritage and a nature bath with a lovely view of the lake, all along a nearly flat loop! The plus: the cool break in the Grange Dîmière to enjoy a bit of shade while discovering the new free exhibition in place for the summer season. -Justine, holiday advisor
La Grange Dîmière, dating from 1655, was used to store crops and shelter animals. The products of the tithe (tax levied in kind on crops) were collected there. It is now a magnificent place of exhibition in summer.
Further information : Next to Charavines beach (free). Public toilets at the Martin Cluzel car park. La Grange Dîmière can be visited from May 1 to September 30, weekends in May, June and September, every day in July and August.
