GR65 Saint James of Compostela

Coming from Geneva, the Way of St. James crosses the Voiron region on a north-south axis. Winding through the hills between the towns of Les Abrets and Oyeu, it passes near the Paladru Lake, on its heights. Continuing along this GR trail, you will head towards Le Puy-en-Velay on the most famous and popular section leading to Santiago de Compostela. So we suggest you follow in the footsteps of the pilgrims.

The Via Sancti Martini: a journey through history and nature

It connects Hungary to French Touraine over 2,500 km, following in the footsteps of Saint Martin of Tours, a 6th-century bishop, great traveler, and universal figure of sharing. It crosses the Voiron region from east to west via the Valdaine valley, over 25 km.
Between Chartreuse and Vals du Dauphiné, it passes through the communes of Merlas, Saint-Bueil, Velanne, Saint-Geoire en Valdaine, Saint-Sulpice des Rivoires, Montferrat and the Villages of Lake Paladru before reaching Valencogne.
