Embark on a journey to the Orients of Lucien Mainssieux! This unique temporary exhibition explores his travels and inspirations through three thematic rooms presenting more than 70 works and archives, enriched with exceptional loans.
From the fantasized Orient to that of artist-travelers, via the visions of oriental women, Lucien Mainssieux testifies through his works and his collection to his taste for a plural Orient that the exhibition invites you to discover.
Follow in the footsteps of artists who, from Delacroix to Mainssieux, drew inspiration from their travels in the Orient and North Africa.
Through the development of Orientalism, it is the intersecting history of Europe and North Africa that the Mainssieux museum explores in this thematic tour.

The museum is closed on December 25, January 1 and May 1.

The museum is located in a pedestrian street behind the Saint-Bruno church.
