Monumental collages of trompe-l'oeil images immerse the viewer in a photographic mise en abyme.

This installation, a tribute to the perspective of the Renaissance and the popular spectacles of panoramas and dioramas of the 19th century, represents “real-size” models of emblematic architecture of Voiron as so many elements of an ideal city under construction.
This site is also that of the image. An image that would be so “real” that it would merge with reality.
It is the utopia of Photography, the first “new technology” revolutionizing the relationship between representation and reality which, by modifying the way we look at the world, would change the world itself.
There is only one "ideal" viewpoint for the illusion to work. But by moving, the spectator experiences an infinite number of other possibilities and takes a new look at alternative realities.

Open from June 1 to 30, 2024 on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 14:30 p.m. to 18 p.m.
