Route de la Grange Dîmière, 38850 Villages du lac de Paladru
from 14AM to 30PM
In North America, rock carvings and paintings abound in the canyons of Utah. Paul Bahn and Jean-Loïc Le Quellec, world-renowned specialists in prehistoric art, go in search of them and seek to elucidate their mystery...
During a real "road movie", they meet various interlocutors who present their points of view on these images, in particular physicists who explain the techniques used to analyze and date them.
But, in many ways, these representations are also very current: what do the Amerindians who live in the region today have to say about them? Is it a coincidence that the first works of "Land Art" were created precisely in the landscapes that their ancestors had occupied and animated? And how do these prehistoric images inspire contemporary artists?
With Jean-Loïc Le Quellec and Bernadète Bidaude.
