A centuries-old church, and still very much alive, the Saint-Georges Church, classified as a Historic Monument, dates from the 11th century, on Gallo-Roman remains. An amazing visit will have many surprises in store for you about the origins of this place of worship, its modifications as well as the many treasures it contains.

History, culture and heritage: 
As part of the national theme on itineraries, the town of Saint Geoire En Valdaine, a town with seven castles and two historic monuments, has once again put great efforts into hosting. With its label, a remarkable heritage site, issued by the Ministry of Culture, the town highlights its heritage, free of charge, for the greatest pleasure of all and thus discover all the secrets of the town through the different itineraries which take you are offered.
