Musée de la Grande Chartreuse
La Grande Chartreuse, founded by Saint Bruno in 1084, is an unmissable destination. If the monastery remains a place of prayer, the museum enlightens you on the life of the monks withdrawn in solitude and silence.
The Correrie de la Grande Chartreuse, former home of the Carthusian brothers, offers you a dive into the heart of monastic life. Through a renewed scenography, come and discover how a Carthusian lives today. Explore their history and their architecture.
At the end of the visit, our new store welcomes you to discover the products of the Carthusians but also of other monastic communities.
Find our cultural program on our website.
