Musée Pégoud
A museum dedicated to the exploits of aviator Adolphe Pégoud, a pioneer of aerial acrobatics who performed the first parachute jump and the first loop in 1913. First Ace of the 14-18 war. Evocation of some contemporary pilots from Isère.
The museum presents his childhood, his military life, and his moment of glory… up to his tragic death for France on August 31, 1915, in Petit-Croix in the Territoire de Belfort. Through videos, written documents, photos, clothing, and numerous aviation-related objects, the museum retraces this epic story.
Period photos and spare parts from the last aircraft are on display. More than just the visit, the commentary on its origins and history will reveal its significance for aviation.
You will be welcomed by members of the Pégoud committee who will tell you the exceptional adventures of an aviator who left his mark on aviation.
