Autour du Mont Cuchet
Offering a moderate elevation gain, this pleasant hike is particularly accessible. In good weather, the route offers sweeping panoramas in all directions towards the Bauges mountains, Mont Blanc, the Chartreuse mountains, and due south to the Vercors!
Beautiful rural Dauphiné houses built of rammed earth and large farm buildings follow one another across a colorful mosaic of landscapes. The ascent to Paradis follows an old country lane, recently restored, which leads to the small plateau surrounding Mont Cuchet. The rest of the route alternates between pleasant stretches through undergrowth, forest edges, and openings onto the surrounding landscapes.
