Belvédère du Regardou
Take to the heights to discover Voiron from an unexpected angle! From the church of St-Bruno via the streets of 4 chemins and Orphelines you will reach the directional post of Bavoir and Garenne: let's go for a beautiful walk!
A landscape reading table and a picnic table overlooking the city await you.
A shorter variant is possible by starting at the College la Garenne. Only 1,9kms and a vertical drop of 139m.
If you wish, you can continue the climb to Notre-Dame de Vouise to enjoy a 360° panoramic view. See our hiking route “La montagne de Vouise”.
Walking map of the Voironnais region at 1/25000 (on sale for €5 in the Voiron and Lake Paladru reception offices)
Mother Nature thanks you for leaving with your waste, she digests it poorly! Respect crops and private property by staying on marked trails.
Step-by-step guide
In front of Saint-Bruno church, the starting point of your hike, turn your back to the church and head towards Rue des 4 Chemins (on the right, uphill). You will pass the Gaudillot artisanal chocolate and pastry shop.
After a few hundred meters, you will come to Rue des Orphelins. Turn right and continue uphill along this street.
At the next intersection, continue straight ahead along Rue Saint-André. At the top, you will arrive at the “Le Bavoir” signpost, which will indicate your next direction: to the left, “La Garenne”.
At the Garenne car park, turn right; you will see the “La Garenne” signpost. Turn right again and follow Rue du Garat (a dead end for cars). Further up, the road ends, and you continue along the path, which is shadier and will take you to the viewpoint.
You are a few hundred meters from your goal.
