Walking

Discover the many facets of Lake Paladru, through this complete tour which winds between villages, wooded hills and open meadows.

Adeline, travel advisor: Want to take a tour of Lake Paladru? Discover its many facets to the rhythms of the highest points (max 700m altitude) and green hills that you will cross (obviously in winter it is more "stripped") ... Sometimes magnificent panorama, sometimes glimpsed that it you will have to seize, the lake is present! So it's true, you won't be strolling by the lake, but it is thanks to this height and distance that you can best admire this pearl of "Lac Bleu"! This walk along the paths and small roads does not present any major difficulty apart from the number of kilometers to cover. Whether you are a seasoned hiker or simply familiar with walking, do not hesitate any longer, come and explore this beautiful route for a day.

Although the route takes place mainly above the lake, the dives towards its banks with turquoise waters will be all the more enjoyable. This hike, along paths and small roads, does not present any major difficulty apart from the number of kilometers to be covered.

Choose your starting point, the tour of the lake can be done from 4 villages: Charavines, Bilieu, Le Pin or Paladru.

This large "Blue Lake", exceptional for the beauty of its environment and its crystal-clear waters, was shaped by the powerful Rhône glacier during the Ice Age. Located at an altitude of 500 meters, in a setting of wooded and agricultural hills, it is the fifth natural lake in France. These shores hosted one of the first human communities of Isère, 2700 BC (Neolithic village of Bathers). Several sites are classified as "protected natural areas".

Further information : On the 4 villages (Charavines, Le Pin, Paladru, Bilieu) presence of shops, public toilets and a beach (except in Bilieu) The bus line from Voiron operates only in summer
