This route offers a tour of the Baracuchet which at 960 m, asserts itself as the highest point of the Terres Froides. The small roads taken are all confidential… Departure from the Inter-municipal Gymnasium.

Departing from the Gymnasium in St-Etienne de Crossey, you climb towards Tolvon with unobstructed views towards the Vercors and the Chartreuse. The route then begins between wooded hills to reach Hautefort via the Teissonière pond. From the perched hamlet of Hautefort you go up a wild valley to change the horizon after the Touvat pass and admire the Valdaine below. The village of St-Sixte will provide you with a happy surprise with its pocket lake with deep and dark waters. The mountain forest then spares you a little freshness. And it's an extraordinary change of horizon that brings you back to Chartreuse above the Grand Vivier. All you have left is a long panoramic descent with switchbacks to find your starting point.
