Walking

Departing from the monastery, this route will lead the trailers initially in the valley before going up from Gachetière to the Aiguille de Chalais.
Circuit not recommended in case of snow.

This essentially forest course is intended for an average to experienced public, wishing to make a discovery loop around the Monastery.

Shortly after leaving the monastery, the course plunges (nearly 700 m of negative elevation) onto the Chevalon de Voreppe via the base of the Mont-St Martin chimney with beautiful single-track sections on limestone soil. You then graze the Bourg-Vieux district (short tar section) before going up from Gachetière towards Le Clet. Don't miss the discreet Pisserote waterfall (footbridge)! The forest is everywhere to bypass the Mollard d'Arbon. From Bouzonnière, a nice ascent (320 m in altitude) brings you back to the Col de Chalais. You still have to complete the Aiguille loop.

A flexible and comfortable ground, in false flat leads you to the belvedere of the Rocher de Bellevue (possible glance). Then a dry climb to the top with two small rocky passages and a final comfortable descent, without traps, takes you back to the monastery.

- Chalais Monastery
- Chimney of Mont Saint-Martin
- Le Cuchet
