Discover the first hydraulic installations which, from the 15th century, made it possible to channel water as a driving force to supply the first mills, forges and wheelwright's workshops. Then, during an industrial revolution, Valdaine very quickly saw the arrival of the first industrialists who set up silks and their imposing factory complexes, it was the time of the Grande Fabrique! You will therefore not be surprised to discover over the course of your journey employers' houses that look like "castels", and old factories with their characteristic "shed" roofs (Veyre and Thomas factory) which still line the banks of the Ainan... The second part of the course will take you to the height of the Velanne plateau. At La Sage you will still find traces of an old weaving factory...
