This year, the Tour de France will pass through Voiron in Isère. A major cycling event not to be missed, as Voiron will be both a finish town (July 22nd) and a start town (July 23rd) – quite an achievement! 🙂 Two days dedicated to cycling, to admire and celebrate these competitive athletes during stages 17 and 18! As you can see, two stages of the famous race will cross the Voiron region this summer. 🙂
The last time the Tour de France passed through Voiron was in 2020… If we remember it so well, it's because watching the caravan go by with our masks on in the middle of summer is something you don't forget 😷 So in 2026, see you in Voiron to fully enjoy the passage of the caravan, the arrival and departure of the riders and especially the many activities that will punctuate these two days! From June 21st, the City will be decked out in the colours of the Tour de France. !

Stage 17, It's 175 km Starting from Chambéry in the early afternoon, the route crosses several towns in the Voiron and Isère departments before arriving in Voiron. In order, starting from the first town in Voiron:

The runners will reach Voiron and will cross the finish line on Cours Sénozan near the Bonnat Chocolate Factory, around 17:30 pm.

Thursday, July 23 Voiron > Orcières-Merlette

Stage 18, That's 185 km! The climb up to Orcières-Merlette will be a treat for the climbers! In Voiron, the riders will set off from the town centre for a parade which will continue until the actual start of the race at the exit of Vourey.

The runners will set off from 21 avenue Raymond Tézier, at 12:50 for a parade in the town which will continue until the actual start of the race at the exit of Vourey.
