N°92 – Valdolac
This black circuit allows you to admire the diversity of the landscapes of the paths of the Pays Voironnais. You overlook the Lac de Paladru, discover the peaceful hills of Valdaine, skim past marshes, lakes and ponds. A great challenge for athletes!
You will not see the 92 kilometers of this route pass by whatever starting point you choose (Saint-Geoire-en-Valdaine or Charavines)! The first kilometers are on small, quiet country roads before taking you on forest or stony tracks, sometimes single-track in the undergrowth or across fields.
If you start from Saint-Geoire-en-Valdaine, around km 64 near Charavines, take a break and take advantage of the shops to get supplies.
If you start from Charavines, fill up on site or in Saint-Geoire-en-Valdaine, you will not find anything on the rest of the route.
A shortcut around km 83 (km 17 if you are coming from Charavines), at the place called La Davière (Massieu), allows you to avoid the climb to Lac de Saint-Sixte and save yourself 5 km and 270 m of positive elevation gain; a sign indicating “shortcut” is in place.
