Walking

And in the middle flows a river… the Fure, which rises in Lake Paladru and nestles in the hollow of a wooded valley.

The shaded and refreshing path reveals a little-known side of Rives and offers a peaceful immersion close to this waterway which has provided the wealth of the region with its many mills, forges, paper mills, etc.

This 25km river has many environmental and historical interests. Bordered by wet meadows and woods, it acts as a passage for wildlife between Lake Paladru and the Isère valley. Its artisanal, industrial and working history is very rich since the Middle Ages and still survives today with the Aciéries de Bonpertuis. This route will also make you admire the Pont du Boeuf viaduct inaugurated on July 12, 1857, 45 m high with its 16 arches in the center.
At the end of the walk, take advantage of the orientation table to contemplate the view of the Chartreuse, Belledonne and Vercors mountains.
