Two hikes to discover the Virieu castle and the ancient charterhouse of Sainte Marie de la Sylve Bénite.
Donkey rides, on-site catering, African percussion: the Kassoumaï ensemble, raffle, sale of Ethiopian crafts, wooden games.

Let's rediscover our heritage thanks to these two family and friendly hikes.
Both circuits are on Google Maps, the routes are marked and hikers have a paper map. Refreshments are given when participants leave.

Today's program :

The morning :
Hiking, free price in the form of a donation, giving right to a tax receipt if the amount is at least €20.

Two circuits are offered:
The grand tour, the castle of VIRIEU. Red circuit between 3 and 4 hours of walking, distance approximately 15 km, no difficulty, elevation gain + 460m.
The average tour the ancient Chartreuse Sainte Marie de la Sylve Bénite, blue circuit between 1h30 and 2h of walking, distance approximately 7 km, no difficulty, elevation + 111m.
For the little ones, take a stroll with Serge's donkeys in the Cuchet woods.

At noon :
On-site catering with the sale of traditional sandwiches or chicken-berbere sandwiches. A full meal and pancakes are also offered.
The refreshment bar is open as soon as hikers leave.

The afternoon :
African percussion with the Kassoumaï ensemble.
Drawing from our traditional raffle, many prizes are up for grabs. A Salomon backpack, bottles of Bigallet syrup, ski passes, two vouchers for a meal at the Dauphins beach in Charavines, Tefal casseroles, Chartreuse mignonettes...

All day :
Sale of Ethiopian crafts and wooden games for young and old.
