Ceramist Caroline Schmoll invites us for a slightly fantastical story in an imaginary home... What kinds of creatures could inhabit this place? Enough to invent poetic stories in another space-time.

Dialogued with each other to create a dreamlike atmosphere, the four paintings offer the eye a profusion of details, intriguing, ironic or bizarre, like the settings of a three-dimensional children's story. Their bold and lively colors (enamels and slips), applied with a spray gun, further add to their singularity.

"My approach is rooted in the state of mind, the lived experience
and materializes into an autobiographical story through a fundamentally organic vocabulary. Anecdotal trauma is
the trigger, doing it allows me to transcend the state. This first
approach concerns and questions the notion of rite of passage.
The relationship I have with ceramics is at the heart of my concerns. I exploit the original charge of the earth material and tend to make tangible the idea of potential images, supports of beliefs and fantasies, evocative of sensitive sensations and intuitions.
